This is one of the most intelligent single solo piano
releases I have heard for quite some time, Transcending
Fear by Eduardo Gutierrez is
utterly brilliant, the pianist creates a dark backdrop of sound, and utilises
the piano beautifully to emphasise the battle between light and blackness of
mood.
The elevation of tone and construction of this single is
simply magnificent, and to listen to Gutierrez build a composition that raises
its energies to victory at the conclusion of the piece, was simply sublime and
thoroughly enjoyable.
