Somewhere Beyond the
Blue

Sometimes we all need to step back and look at our lives
without the pace of life being in the driving seat of our journey, times of
grief have varied effects upon us and it at that time when we need something
soulful, something reflective to help us through and back out of the blue.
Here on this simply brilliant new single by Dave Mohan we have just that, the UK
based composer has brought us some amazing music over the years, and this new
offering is a true, honest but sensitive look at grief, its effects and our
onward paths, from a wonderfully sensitive perspective. I appreciate this song
totally, just a few days ago I lost my son in law, and listening to this
precious song eased my somewhat strained emotions.
One must applaud the composer Mohan for manifesting one of
the best ballads of the decade thus far; it reminded me greatly of Jon Lord’s creation called Evening Song, sung by the ever blissful Sam Brown. Here on Somewhere Beyond the Blue that same heart felt sensitivity and
emotive brilliance can be found, and I congratulate Carolina de la Muela for her outstanding vocals, they simply don’t
come any better than this, and of course the reflective and mournful Cello of Yann Marc.
I have heard many moving singles and compositions over the
years, but I would count Somewhere
Beyond the Blue by Dave Mohan as
being right up there as one of the best; this is one song that needs and
deserves to be a massive hit on the charts, and in your hearts.
