It’s Good to Be Home

Most of us have been locked inside our homes now for a long
while during this pandemic, and the longing for some kind of normality grows
stronger with each passing day. Pianist Annie
Locke has in a way, with this her latest single, created an anthem for that
desire of a warm familiarity of normalcy.
It’s Good to Be Home is a very pleasing composition, a
sense of longing can be found here, but more than anything, a reality and a
happiness of being in a safe environment, and perhaps even with someone who is
special.
Locke’s touch on the keys gifts us a reverie, a gaze from the
window of hope, but also one of acceptance and gratitude, all rolled into one
very warm and homely performance.
