A new artist to me came my way this morning via the medium of
a brand new single entitled Humanity's
Silent Cry, and its creator the ever so talented Alejandro Clavijo. I must be honest and say that I have never been
a fan of felt piano, but here on this creative new release Clavijo gifts us a
haunting theme, and the composition, methodology and choice of instrumentation
works brilliantly.
The piece itself is a haunting reverie, something you may see
on a Tim Burton movie perhaps, the
back drop of a gentle synth pad is masterful in manifesting a mysterious and
mist filled veil over the musical landscape that escapes from it. Whilst
Clavijo’s piano builds on a clock like structure, and then bursts into life to
create a fluent melody and direction.
This has to be one of the most captivating piano based
compositions that I have heard for some time; it’s one of those tracks that you
cannot help continuously playing, and a track that embraces the listener,
taking them through the narrative of a new day filled with both hope and
apprehension, Alejandro Clavijo has
manifested something special here, and as such I predict a huge hit single is
on offer for the artist with Humanity's Silent Cry.
