I believe I have just listened to one of the best solo piano
singles in recent times, this total gem is called Ani Ma'amin, I Believe, and as such a proud and regal melodic structure
about its composition, one that is so very palpable and attractive, so much so
I have currently got the piece on repeat on my media player.
This is tremendously powerful music, and when one looks at
the art work associated with it even more so, with reflection one can hear the
Jewish motifs, from that I researched further and would find the following
narrative of Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazar,
who was said to have composed the tune whilst being taken to Treblinka in a cattle car, the story
that follows is deeply harrowing but heart felt, and the listener may find it
interesting to research this title for themselves and allow their minds to be
immersed into that moment.
The magnificent crescendos, and the empowering arrangement of
this incredible track is deeply moving, but also incredibly enjoyable to listen
to, the performance by the artist has to be one of the best I have heard from a
pianist in many years, and indicates that they are indeed playing from their
heart, to yours, here is a piece that should last within the hearts of minds of
the listener for eons.
