There is something magical about the music of Rick Sparks, he creates such beautiful landscapes of sound, ones so blissful that you could literally walk in them in total peace and harmony, this new single has that energy as well, and this wholesome flavour is musically more tasty than ever before, on this new single called A Time To Heal.

The slow and deliberate beginning is typical Rick Sparks’ country, full of lush green images of calm and tranquillity, blowing on an early summer musical breeze, the added keyboard narratives flow and merge with his usual dexterity, as one of the finest composers of keyboard driven new age music.

Then at just short of two minutes, Sparks manifests one of his best ever symphonic moments, where added uplifting pads brings a sense of a euphoria, with a tinge of reflection drawn into the narrative, and his usage of minor chords were never better manifested, this for me was a totally masterful segment that elevated the piece to realms above the normal.

Sparks then builds on this brilliance and utter genius by adding layer upon layer of healing, ethereal vocalisations, and serene musical fields of joy and tenderness, thus truly bringing to life a cathartic sanctuary of tone and timbre, whilst doing so.

I am going to have to stick my neck out on this one, as I rate it as some of his finest work ever, A Time to Heal by Rick Sparks isn’t just another single from the master of calming sounds, it is a true heartfelt musical reflection of his standing in this genre, and as such should be a massive hit on the charts.
