There is something about this brand new single by Cliff Sarde which brings a chilled
cadence to any day, and any time, this moving ever onward composition of
tranquilly and calm is a gift of a serene musical environment that is just too
good to pass up, and called Stops Along
The Way.
Sarde has become well known for his instrumental flavours
over the years, introducing his listeners to a globally fused catalogue ever
since the 80’s, and then into the 90’s with legends like R. Carlos Nakai, here though his arrives at the station with his
trade mark sound of a sultry saxophone, and steady Jazz vibe for us to travel
on further in bliss with.
This is one of those singles that could go down well in many
genres, but will be most welcomed within the ranks of the chill out and smooth
Jazz circles. For me, this is an offering that has a timeless texture to its
tapestry, and I for one have a feeling of absolute certainty that Stops Along The Way by Cliff Sarde is about to
pull into the metro station marked, successful hit, it is indeed that good, a
sumptuous performance, classy production and presentation can all be found
here, so what other result could there be!
