The skill set of Ryan
Judd grows with each passing day and with each passing composition created,
and now Ryan is part of the Myndstream
Summer Flights project, we can enjoy another new manifestation; this time
entitled The Lost Summer.
This has to be one of the most pristine and gentle
performances I have heard for years on acoustic guitar, and Judd’s crafted
approach gifts us mournful structures, emotive chords, and some quite delicious
harmonics, in one his most chilled presentations ever.
Ryan Judd has captured the mood and feeling
perfectly with The Lost Summer, I
can testify to that, here we wait for the summer to come, but by the end of
August you wish for it to end, due to the unrelenting heat, but when it does,
you have a sense of mourning for its slow passing. Here Judd caresses those
strings with such artistry that you feel like you’re watching the last summer
sunset on the balcony with the artist himself, a breathtakingly emotive new
release indeed.
