Bearing in mind the country of my residence, my home in Cyprus, which has been suggested many times as the location for this lost city of Atlantis, this new single from David Clavijo excited me immensely. The subject matter captured has been something that has snared my thoughts and imagination for many years.

Here on this brand new single David brings us a fine example of new age pop that your likely to hear, this genre is flourishing now and rightly so, with touches of Enigma, a hint of Mike Oldfield and melodic vocals that take me back in time to those used on Andy Pickford’s Lughnasad

However I believe this single is a medium that is working through love and loss in the only way that can relieve the pain, and that is of course through music, the loss of a great civilisation can mean emotionally the same as the loss as a single person once truly adored, it is an interesting juxtaposition. The chord structures of this song are amazing, they dip into minor, rise with the major, and the echo vibrations are utterly emotive and deeply moving.

The melody and the chorus are simply perfect and ideal for any single that wants to be a huge success, like I am predicting Atlantis will be for Clavijo, this is without a doubt a step into a new realm for the artist, but search every inch of this single and you will find greatness, from its Arkenstone symphonic backdrop, to its Oldfield like guitars, one can be in no doubt that my fellow European composer has manifested something utterly special here, with mega hit written all over it.
