There can be little doubt that Victor Birkan is one of the most expressive composers of modern piano in this day and age, his artistic talents have created such wonderful works in the last couple of years alone, and once more it gives me such great pleasure to listen to and express my thoughts on this his latest single, Eternal Romance.

This is an exercise in fluency and musical charm, as Birkan’s hands create magic upon the keys, the piano itself almost cries across the miles and miles of loneliness, a corridor where two hearts can bridge the emptiness of solitude, and once again be reunited.

Without doubt Birkan’s style is one of the most passionate around; one can literally feel the emotion pour from his heart, onto and through the grand soundscape of his piano, this is cinematic and romantic mastery, this is solo piano at its most charming, and of course, this is another huge chart hit in the making for the success that is pianist Victor Birkan.
